KANSAI UNIVERSITY OF SOCIAL WELFARE
The Educational Philosophy

Established on the founding tenets of Kansai Konko Gakuen (Kansai Konko Educational Foundation), i.e., “Equality of Mankind,” “Respect for Individuality,” and “Harmony and Gratitude,” Kansai University of Social Welfare (KUSW) aims to provide professional social work education in the field of social welfare. By producing graduates armed not only with up-to-date theories, but also with hands-on experience through field instruction at various social agencies and institutions, KUSW seeks to contribute to the enhancement of the social welfare system of Japan.

KUSW was founded in April, 1997 with the Faculty of Social Welfare.
In 2006, the Faculty of Nursing was established.
